The silent that follows

Anna (25) and Ulrikke (25) haven’t seen each other since high school, when they were seemingly best friends. During a chance encounter seven years later, they realize that the friendship they once had may not have been as glamorous as they believed.

Anna is sitting in a café studying when Ulrikke spots her through the café window from the street. Ulrikke sits down to catch up, but Anna isn’t nearly as interested in talking. Anna tries to escape the situation, but Ulrikke follows her out onto the street.

With Ulrikke close behind her, Anna eventually becomes so frustrated that she snaps. Ulrikke is hurt and walks away, leaving Anna standing there with a sense of guilt. A little further up the street, Ulrikke has sat down on a bench, and Anna realizes she needs to talk to her in order to move on.

On the bench, they confront their past, leading to uncomfortable confrontations and vulnerable reflections about their friendship.
